Judge Williams to serve as muni court's admin/presiding judge

AKRON––Judge Annalisa Stubbs Williams will serve as the administrative / presiding judge of the Akron Municipal Court for the 2017 term. 

As the administrative/presiding judge, she will be responsible for the administration, docket and calendar of the court, observance of the rules of superintendence and timely reporting and termination of all cases in the court without undue delay.

Judge Williams was previously elected by her colleagues to serve in this role in 2008 and 2012 and has served on the Akron Municipal Court bench since November 2003. 

Judge Williams also presides over the Akron Municipal Mental Health Court  and the ‘Peace of Mind’ program.

The Akron Municipal Court serves the cities of Akron and Fairlawn; the townships of Bath, Richfield and Springfield; the villages of Lakemore and Richfield; and that part of Mogadore in Summit County, Ohio.
