Monitoring your online reputation

We’ve talked about the importance of being aware of your online reputation. Most of you undoubtedly have a good one, but you never really know until you take a deep dive into the topic. How, you ask? By going to these sites.
Here are several resources for tracking down your online rep, thanks to the folks at Search Engine Journal.
First up is Google Alerts. Put your name into the Google Alerts search window (https://www.google.com/alerts), and you’ll get once-daily notifications of mentions on the interwebs.
Next, connect with a social mention tool. These track how you’re noted in various social media (up to 80 or so at once). There are several, including Sprout Social; Mention.com; Brandmentions.com; and there is a site called socialmentions.com but it seems to be down right now.
SEMrush measures online “sentiment” among other functions. It also monitors your estimated reach and can track referrals from mentions (like if someone mentions you on Facebook and you generate a web page hit from that).
SentiOne (https://sentione.com/) is an AI-based web app that looks for mentions throughout the entire Internet. It tracks, “listens to” and analyzes online opinions while giving you the ability to filter key words for the search. They are also a “top Polish Startup,” so, if you’re into that sort of thing.
RankRanger is an SEO tool but also has a reputation management tool. It lets you check search engine results for negative content, monitors search engine results page (SERP) changes, and measure how your work on reputation management impacts your visibility.
If you represent any doctors or hospitals, you can check their reputations at Reputation Health (https://www.reputation-health.com/). Maybe you can prevent a possible libel suit (or start one—who am I to say?).
Meltwater (https://www.meltwater.com/en), which started as a virtual news clipping service, now offers media monitoring, media outreach, social listening, social publishing and engagement, and social influencer management—all combined with real-time analytics. Sounds pretty cool to me.
HootSuite can, among other functions, create a schedule for all your posts across all platforms, and can spot, track and analyze sentiment trends, and can even build social intelligence into your strategies. Also pretty cool.
